Renewals
Annual renews at $29 on your purchase anniversary; monthly at $3.99. The price you signed up at is the price you renew at — pledged, never raised silently.
Renewal reminders
Before every annual renewal we email you twice — 45 days ahead, and again at 20 — with a two-click cancel link. Monthly plans cancel anytime from your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Free plan really free forever?
Yes. Free includes 500 MB of cleanup every month, forever. No credit card, no account, no time limit.
What is “sensitive-file protection”?
The Shield: two built-in checks read a file’s name and its contents. Anything they flag as a tax return, an ID, or a legal, medical or financial document — or as carrying a Social Security number — can’t be selected for deletion. No AI model, no download. Every plan, every scan.
I already run Ollama. Does that analysis upload my files?
No. Vaulith doesn’t sell, install or set up a model. If you have already installed Ollama and pulled a model yourself, the app can use it for an optional file analysis, and that runs 100% on your device. No files, thumbnails, or metadata are ever uploaded. Don’t take that on faith — verify it with a network monitor.
Does Vaulith run in the background?
Only if you turn Watching on. Then Vaulith stays in the menu bar (the notification area on Windows) and checks each new file that lands in Downloads, Desktop, Public and, on Pro, your sync folders, on this machine, with the same shield every scan uses. Signed out, it makes no network call while watching; the only traffic is the launch-time version check when a window opens, and you can watch that yourself with the window closed. Turn Watching off in Settings and Vaulith runs only when you open it. Watching is worth zero points on the Report Card, on or off.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — from the app (Settings → Billing) or your dashboard, in two clicks. You keep Pro until your paid period ends.
What happens to my files if I cancel?
Quarantined files stay on your disk, and nothing is auto-deleted. The app keeps working on the Free plan.
What computers are supported?
macOS 13 or later (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10/11. That covers everything Vaulith does. The one exception is the optional local analysis pass, which only runs if you already have Ollama and a model installed, on a 12 GB-RAM machine. Nothing else depends on it, and everything works the same without it.
Can I buy Vaulith in the EU or UK?
Not yet — we’re finishing VAT and consumer-law work, and we’d rather wait than charge you incorrectly. The free version is fully available there. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you once when paid plans open.
Will scanning pull down my iCloud or OneDrive files?
No. Cloud-only placeholder files are detected and skipped — Vaulith never downloads a file just to look at it.
